Hoodie Allen with Aer and Jared Evan @ The Grand

Bondad presents New York based rapper and songerwriter: HOODIE ALLEN, alongside Aer, Jared Evan and Zac Kaiser
Doors: 7PM

Hoodie Allen
Make every word count. This has long been the mantra of Hoodie Allen, the New York based rapper and songwriter. With a penchant for candid storytelling and witty punchlines, Hoodie has always been an emcee who understood the importance of connecting with the audience through his lyrics. A purveyor of summertime anthems, Hoodie Allen has gained notable buzz on the internet for his unique genre-blending style, unafraid to sample from unconventional sources.

His most recent work samples a diverse array of artists and sounds from UK pop singers (Marina & The Diamonds & Eliza Doolittle) to indie rock staples and upstarts (Death Cab for Cutie). The idiosyncrasy of the music is very fitting as Hoodie Allen is not your typical rapper. A self-described, college educated music nerd, Hoodie Allen embraces his individuality and promotes it as the main message in his hype-machine breakout “You Are Not A Robot” (2010). The future is bright for Hoodie Allen. He plans to continue providing the masses with feel-good music for a long time.

Go buy his recent All American EP on iTunes along with downloading his new singles “Hey Now” and “Feel The Love” on his Facebook. Those singles and all prior releases are available for free download at http://www.facebook.com/hoodieallen - LastFM.com

AER
David von Mering and Carter Schultz of Wayland, MA create music that finds its roots in reggae, acoustic pop and indie rock, with smooth guitar riffs and a strong rap component. After releasing their mixtapes “Water On The Moon” and “The Reach” in late-2010 and mid-2011 respectively, the guys proceeded to release their first iTunes EP “What You Need” in October of 2011. “What You Need” would go on to reach the #1 spot on iTunes hip-hop charts, launching Aer onto an East Coast tour alongside Ballyhoo! as well as their first headline tour of the Midwest. David and Carter started working on their debut full-length as soon as they got home (they showered first). They finished just in time for a fun summer in 2012, playing Bamboozle and sharing the stage with Action Bronson, ASAP Rocky, and Iggy Azalea, and hitting the road with OCD: Moosh & Twist going to 37 cities, bringing them to their first shows on the West Coast and in the Southwest. Aer’s July 30th, 2012 debut album The Bright Side quickly rose to #1 on the iTunes Album Charts and earned a spot in Billboards Hot 100. It was followed by “The Bright Side Tour” which spanned over 48 cities across North America. Carter and David are 19, and have a lot more music to make.
